Admission
Current Openings at AWS
AWS keeps class sizes intentionally small across every grade level. It is one of the things that makes the school work the way it does — when a class is small, every student is genuinely known, and every teacher can do their job properly. We are not willing to compromise on that.
Because of this, spaces at each grade level are limited, and availability changes throughout the year. The most reliable way to find out whether there is a place available for your child right now is to get in touch with our admissions team directly.
AWS maintains low student-to-teacher ratios across all grade levels. In Kindergarten, we keep a maximum of twelve students to one teacher. Across other grade levels, our admissions team can share the current ratios when you get in touch.
This is not a number we treat as a target. It is a commitment — to every child in the room.
AWS operates rolling admissions, which means we welcome new students at any point in the academic year — not just at the start of term. If a space is available at your child's grade level, the process moves forward. If not, we will let you know honestly and keep your family in mind as the year progresses.
If your child's grade level is full at the time you enquire, we can add your family to the waitlist. Our admissions team will be in touch as soon as a space opens up. In the meantime, it is worth knowing that our Online School is available as a starting point — your child can begin their AWS journey remotely and transition to the Chennai campus when a place becomes available.
Contact our admissions team to find out what is currently available at your child's grade level. They will check, get back to you promptly, and walk you through what comes next if there is a space for your child.
