Student Life — Falcons Club
Find Your People. Build Your Community. Lead Something.
At American World School Chennai, we believe that some of the most important learning in a student's life happens in the spaces between lessons — in the clubs they join, the projects they lead, the friendships they build around shared passions, and the communities they create together.
The Falcons Club is the heartbeat of AWS co-curricular life — a growing, student-driven ecosystem of clubs, interest groups, and community initiatives that gives every Falcon the opportunity to pursue their passions, develop new skills, and belong to something that is genuinely theirs.
A growing, student-driven ecosystem — pinned to the community wall.
At Asia’s first entrepreneurial school, we do not just welcome student initiative — we actively expect it.
If your child has a passion that is not yet represented in our club offering, we encourage them to propose a new one.
The process is simple: bring the idea to your Success Coach, gather a group of interested students, and make the case for why this club belongs at AWS. If the passion is real and the commitment is there, we will do everything we can to make it happen.
Some of the best things at this school have started with a single student who had an idea and the courage to share it. That is the Falcon spirit — and it is very much alive in the Falcons Club.
Talk to your Success Coach about the club you'd like to start — what it's about, why it matters, and what you hope to build.
Find other students who share your passion. A real club starts with a real community — the commitment is part of the case.
Make your case for why this club belongs at AWS. If the passion is real, we will help you bring it to life.
Distance is not a barrier to belonging.
Co-curricular life at AWS is not limited to students on our Chennai campus. Online Falcons participate in virtual club sessions, collaborative digital projects, and community initiatives that connect them meaningfully to the wider Falcons Club community.
Every Falcon — wherever they are in the world — has a place in this community.

Every AWS student — from Kindergarten to Grade 12, on-campus or online. The Falcons Club is a growing, student-driven ecosystem of clubs and interest groups, and every Falcon is welcome to find their people and join something that matters to them.
Current clubs include Media Club, Photography Club, Journalism Club, Music Programme, Coding & Technology Club, Debate Club, Environmental Action Club, and Sports & Athletics Clubs. The offering grows with student interest — new clubs appear as new passions arrive.

Yes. Many clubs feed directly into broader AWS programmes — Media, Photography, and Journalism Clubs use the Content Creation Hub and contribute to the AWS Digital Magazine; Debate Club builds on Xpress Day; Environmental Action Club links to social entrepreneurship. Clubs are where school life connects and comes alive.
