Entrepreneurship
This is what happens when you give young people the tools, the belief, and the permission to build.
Every startup on this page was built by a student who sat in an AWS classroom, attended a Friday Entrepreneurship Day, heard a mentor speak, received feedback from the Peter Jones Foundation, worked through an idea in the Maker Space, and decided — with the full backing of a school that takes young entrepreneurs seriously — to actually build something.
Not a mock business plan. Not a classroom simulation. A real idea, developed with real intention, validated by real experts, and in many cases taken all the way through to incubation at IIT Madras Research Park, Anna University, and the University of Silicon Valley.
These are the startups of AWS students — past and present. They cover healthcare, fashion, technology, social enterprise, food safety, media, mental health, sport, education, and the arts. They solve real problems. They serve real people.
Fifteen students. Fifteen startups. One school that believed in every one of them.
In a world drowning in information, Vihaan saw what most miss: the news takes too long. The Spedia Show is a podcast channel delivering news, trends, and interviews in a concise, time-efficient format — built for people who want to be genuinely informed without sacrificing hours of their day.
B Safe is an anti-bullying app where teens and children report bullying incidents safely and anonymously — with qualified psychologists on board to provide immediate support, guidance, and solutions. A direct, private, supportive channel between a young person and a professional equipped to help.
A platform that connects artists with people interested in buying one-of-a-kind pieces — with a distinctive twist. Customers select the art style they want, choose the specific artist to create it, and commission something made for them and only them.
An app that connects users with sellers listing sports and fitness equipment for sale alongside professional coaches available for personalised training. The equipment, the coach, and the entire infrastructure of a serious fitness journey — in one platform.
A buy-one-donate-one stuffed toy initiative. For every toy purchased, another is donated to a hospitalised child — providing the companionship and comfort that no medical intervention can substitute. Beautifully simple. Immediately human.
A platform that bridges the construction and real estate industry with customers — creating transparency, accessibility, and genuine connection between the professionals who build and the people who need things built. The best marketplaces do not just connect — they create trust.
A skincare brand offering customised solutions for individual teenage skin concerns — with high-quality ingredients delivered through a subscription model that ensures consistency of care. Targeted, evidence-informed solutions for real individuals with real skin.
A food safety company offering certified inspections and hygiene assessments for restaurants, cafes, and food vendors — and a platform that ensures transparency between vendors and customers, so people can make genuinely informed choices about where they eat.
A creativity community platform that connects artists, writers, and creators to collaborate, share ideas, and grow together. Not a passive social feed — an active, purposeful community built specifically around the process and joy of making.
An app for fashion enthusiasts to design and visualise clothing digitally — combining fabrics, colours, patterns, and accessories in a digital environment that makes the creative process accessible, intuitive, and exciting before a single stitch is made.
A platform where undergraduate students find opportunities to work on real company projects — gaining hands-on experience, earning a salary, building a portfolio — while companies access quality, motivated talent at a fair entry-level cost.
A 100% women-centric digital media platform that recognises, inspires, and celebrates women from every background, every profession, every stage of life — sharing their stories with the depth and respect they deserve. Not just a media platform. A movement.
A custom clothing brand built entirely around community participation — users vote on designs, collectively decide which get produced, and receive high-end personalised clothing that reflects the genuine taste of the community that created it. As much community as clothing.
A platform that connects technology enthusiasts to network, collaborate, and engage meaningfully with like-minded individuals — built specifically for people passionate about technology and serious about the work they are doing with it.
A community platform that connects troubled teenage boys with male mentors — offering guidance, trust, and meaningful one-on-one support designed around the specific needs of young men who need someone to show up consistently and honestly for them.
